Refugee Resettlement in the United States

As a consultant with the International Rescue Committee Resettlement Team in 2020, I evaluated and proposed enhancements to the monitoring framework of the Reception and Placement Program. This program provides services across more than 30 offices nationally to refugees after their arrival in the United States. I adjusted and improved monitoring tools for data collection and evaluation synthesis. I also assessed lessons learned and challenges for the transition to remote implementation and monitoring of the Reception and Placement Program.

With the COVID-19 pandemic underway at the time of publication, a section is dedicated to combating misinformation and building trust in communities affected by crisis.

Notification System for Safety in Central America

I liaised with the International Rescue Committee Project Manager and the El Salvador Office in 2019 to identify research gaps and information needs in the areas of emergency response, client empowerment, and service provision coordination. I produced reports on innovative data analysis of notification systems program implementation in Central America in partnership with Twilio, contributing to the Signpost’s mission providing accurate, accessible, and timely information is for people in times of crisis.
